Need disambiguation
editThey are two salt flats in Argentina named "Salinas Grandes". This one in the center of the country and the other one in NW, in the provinces of Jujuy and Salta. Also the picture is related to the other one. I have created a new article to the other salt flat and relocated some information of this one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ferinn (talk • contribs) 10:43, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
Please don't confuse this Córdoba Salinas Grandes with the Salta/Jujuy Salinas Grandes
editAs I correct badly wrong information which has come from confusing this Salinas Grandes with the other one - they are very different, this one is low altitude and very extensive, the other one is high altitude and fairly small - I see that I am reverting a change that has happened several times. Unfortunately there was an old, dead reference for the basic information. I have found a reference to an academic article in English, which will hopefully dissuade the confused. But it could do with finding some better, possibly Spanish language, references to try and stop this. And maybe the article can be extended by translating some of the Spanish language article. I am also suspicious that the picture provided of the other Salinas, so I am deleting it, and replacing it with the picture on the Spanish language page. Ivan Viehoff (talk) 14:59, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
