All done
editI finished Mee Memorial page yesterday and started right away on this page. There were no citations - none! And it looks like it has been mostly abandoned for years. I had added the museum photos a couple years ago and still nothing happened to really fix the page. So I spent hours and hours going though the newspapers to write the history section, I could have doubled it with all the content available, but it is long already, I'll look it over and see if I can trim some more and show it around. I didn't spend time on anything after it opened in 1953, maybe I'll come back to it, probably not soon. Again this is the beauty of Wikipedia, anyone can become interested. I did find the citation to NASA and added it, and I'm sure there is a lot more to do.
The photos were really my concern as I know they must be out there, I asked around, sent emails to people and contacted the Monterey County Historical Society (they are going to get back to me) everyone as usual either does not answer or pushes it off to someone else, who does not answer. FRUSTRATING! Anyway, I drove over to the hospital today and had a nice walk around it and snapped some photos, so there is something until someone comes up with more. I didn't go inside because, well there is a pandemic going on and it looks odd to see someone snapping photos in the lobby and around. Who is going to believe me when I say "hey, I'm just getting photos for the Wikipedia page" LOL.
I know that there are some editors that care very much that I explain any possible contact with the page I write, so here it is .... ready? I was born in this hospital, so were my siblings and I gave birth to my sons here. I've had a surgery here and a few bone scans, my mammograms' are done within the system. And if I need to be taken to the emergency, it will probably be at this hospital. It's walkable distance from where I type this. So hope that clears things up. They have an adorable medical museum that I've visited many times (closed now because of the pandemic) but if you get a chance you really should check it out. I hope someone does take an interest and get this expanded even more, and get those historical photos added. ENJOY! Sgerbic (talk) 01:45, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
