This Page needs to be updated severely...Sam Ash now has well over 40 locations, not 12. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.233.179.46 (talk) 17:13, 24 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sam Ash vs Sam Ash Music Stores

edit

How silly, I'm sure this Sam Ash fellow was a great guy and all, but the article doesn't say a single thing about the actual store or the history behind it. All I know from reading the article is the first Sam Ash store was in Brooklyn in the early 20th Century. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Explorations (talkcontribs) 14:13, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure how relevant some of this info is to an article which claims to be about the store, either the opening paragraph or the main text needs rewriting to fix this. There is also no information about the size of the business, where the stores are located etc. JMiall 23:47, 30 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. This article is in need of information from someone involved with Sam Ash. I will refer them to this page.

Please see www.samashmusic.com for retail stores or www.samash.com for mailorder service. Corporate headquarters (516)932-6400 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.127.175.64 (talk) 08:33, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

@Jmiall I do not agree. The page is about Sam Ash himself. The title doesn't say "Sam Ash Music Stores." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.167.251.129 (talk) 18:26, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

This article really needs to be split into two articles: one about the person, and one about the company. synthfiend (talk) 23:42, 8 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
I've split the article, there's now a Sam Ash Music article about the music store chain, and the Sam Ash article has been revised appropriately.synthfiend (talk) 17:45, 24 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

The "See also" section of the article lists, Samson Technologies, Martin Guitars, Gibson Guitars. But none of these brands have any specific connection to Sam Ash, any more than any of the hundreds of other brands carried by Sam Ash. It looks like someone just listed their favorite brands as a plug. Does anyone object to deleting this section? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.19.202.132 (talk) 17:50, 16 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

I agree, and done--Jeff (talk) 04:41, 8 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
