sam butler song
editA song was written to commemorate sam butler's retirement from the West Coast Eagles at the end of the 2017 season:
He's the pride of Western Australia, he wears number 26 For 14 years he's played his part with his handball and his kicks He's renowned for Eagles Backchat and amazing soccer tricks But everyone's favourite Eagle is no longer in the mix
He's leaving AFL football as a loyal one team player He spoilt and out-marked forwards and he was a tackle layer Thought he was finished years ago but turns out he was a stayer But now in his life plan it's time to add another layer
He's played with West Coast legends and had some success And how he can't pronounce that word is anybody's guess He's a former club best team man, won a premiership no less Now he'll join the retired life members, and sit back, and watch the club progress 2001:8003:A941:5200:99EF:E4F0:41:39A3 (talk) 05:31, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
