The result of the move request was: consensus to move once signed into law. The consensus is to move this article once it is signed into law. Feel free to ping me to implement or post at WP:RM/TR citing this RM closure and a page mover or admin will do the move. (non-admin closure) TonyBallioni (talk) 15:32, 25 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Recognition of same-sex unions in MaltaSame-sex marriage in Malta – Place here your rationale for the proposed page name change. Andrew1444 (talk) 03:33, 18 July 2017 (UTC) }} As per recent request for an article name-change for Germany, I believe that the article on Maltese Same-sex Marriage deserves thte same. The Maltese Parliament approved marriage by a vote of 66-1, and the President of Malta is a member of the ruling Labour Party. This is bound to be approved.Reply

I would like to ask you about the fate of civil unions in Malta? From 1st October 2017 same-sex couples will not allowed enter into new registered life partnerships because same-sex marriage law take effect. Is this situation going to be in Malta too? If it is not I will offer the article about same-sex unions in Malta divide into two sections. First section about civil unions and second about same-sex marriage as same as in example of France and United Kingdom.Jan Fial (talk) 12:20, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
Civil unions will remain intact. Ron 1987 (talk) 00:01, 19 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
Support. Should be done once the bill is signed by the President. Ron 1987 (talk) 00:00, 19 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
Support. As is standard practice for countries who have followed this path. Jono52795 (talk) 10:39, 19 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
Support. As soon as it is signed into law, as was recently done in Germany. Isseubnida (talk) 18:23, 22 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
Oppose because this article documents various types of same-sex unions (and is nowhere near long enough to warrant splitting). But I know this move will pass anyway. Jdcooper (talk) 20:15, 22 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
