Unprecedented Feat

edit

"As a rookie, Baugh led the NFL in passing while leading the Redskins to two NFL championships."

I don't think we will ever see someone else lead a team to two NFL championships as a rookie.

Bad Math?

edit

"Early in his career, Baugh paid $200 an acre for a 7,600-acre (31 km2) ranch[1] in West Texas"

So early in his career he paid $1.52 million for a ranch in the middle of nowhere texas, even though he was only making around $10k a year in salary from football? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.206.108.160 (talk) 04:52, 24 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Quarterback?

edit

Baugh played Quarterback later in his career, but he entered the league as a Single Wing Tailback. In most Single Wing schemes the Quarterback was mainly a blocker. Baugh moved to Quarterback when the Redskins switched to a Spread T offense. I believe that was in 1944. The Bears brought the Spread T to the NFL in 1940. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.174.110.5 (talk) 20:57, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Citations?

edit

This whole article is rife with information not supported by citations. Specifically the end where he is named to a bunch of all time lists and only a couple are supported by links, and those links are other Wikipedia articles. I'm not inclined to fix it all myself. Perhaps the one who put them there should. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.68.62.254 (talk) 18:46, 10 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

MDY dates in citations

edit

@Bigmoe797: The citation form auto-fills dates using the British style of day-month-year, but since this is an American subject, we should use month-day-year formatting. You'll have to manually adjust it if you're using the citation form. It's a pain, I know. Lizard (talk) 07:11, 30 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Did what I could but some of the dates in the '2008-7-9' format were throwing errors. Bigmoe797 (talk) 00:31, 31 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
Those are from the distant past of Wikipedia, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth and Baugh himself was still in the NFL. Probably better just to rewrite them completely. Lizard (talk) 00:34, 31 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
