World Trade Centre Construction

No mention in the article regarding Gravano's claims in his book "Underboss" that a construction company he was involved in had a sizeable contract in the construction of the World Trade Centre. Certainly his complicity/involvement in the murder of his brother-in-law, Nicholas Scibetta. How he rose to consegliere. His involvement in the hit on Castellano. His activities as Gotti's underboss. The 19 murders he admitted to committing -- and the others for which he is suspected. The reason why he says he turned state's evidence against Gotti. What he testified to at trial. The details of the massive ecstasy ring he was convicted of running in Arizona after his relocation. All of this essential information is left out of your "pruned" version. Indeed, your version contains massive gaps, jumping from the early 70s to 1988 in a whirlwind and completely bypassing the most important years of his criminal career. It only mentions the 19 murders he admitted to in passing (contrast this with the Roy DeMeo article). It omits any mention of his contraction of Graves' disease. And, most egregiously, it doesn't even specify what offense he was convicted of in Arizona -- all the reader gets is, "His son was also imprisoned for 9 years for his role in the drug ring." What drug ring? That's the first and only time it's ever mentioned. Then there are the redundant references to his autobiography and the fact that although you claimed to object to the detailed version on grounds that it is "unsourced," your "pruned" version doesn't offer any sources either. You simply swapped one largely unsourced version for another. As I said, I agree that the current/detailed version can be condesnsed (particularly in "Moving to the Gravano's" section), but that's no reason to rob the article of all of its content and leave behind nothing but an incomplete, gap-ridden shell.-PassionoftheDamon (talk) 06:40, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

I'll look at leaving that in. I don't plan to add any sources to the article, it's not an area I know anything about or have any interest in. I came across it at random and it seemed to me it was far too long. So I removed unsourced material. I can add some sources. I don't really have the time right now to take on the whole thing at once, but I can work gradually, sort of plodding through section by section whenever I get a chance. Article says he was 13 and a gang member. I heard he was younger and took on 2 bigger kids. The wise guys broke up the fight and sent the 2 older boys on their way. This first brought him to the attention of these guys but they knew his fther from the neighbour hood.

Drug conviction

I believe I read that subsequent to his drug convictions Gravano was incarcerated in a super-max prison. It may have been Pelican Bay State Prison in Crescent City, California although I'm much less confident of this latter factoid. Dick Kimball (talk) 16:56, 22 February 2013 (UTC)

Alan Kaiser

Shouldn’t there be some mention of Alan Kaiser, the 16 year-old kid who died when he got caught up in the confrontation between Sammy’s crew and the leader of the bikers? He had the misfortune of being there when Sammy and his crew tried to kill the leader of the bikers who had caused the altercation at his club, and ended up getting killed by either Sammy himself or his crew in the chaos, apparently being mistaken for a biker trying to attack them in the confusion.
