Objection to proposed deletion
editThis article was proposed for deletion on 2015-05-11 for the reason "Advert for unnotable entity". I object to this deletion for several reasons.
- Notability
While small, this organization is established. It has been in existence for 10 years and is growing, so there is no reason to expect it will not be around for many more.
The organization is verified. The article lists the organization's EIN and cites references to third-party charity evaluators (Charity Navigator and Guidestar).
The organization has been discussed in the news[1][2] and in the district it serves[3][4]. (Perhaps a better alternative to deletion is adding these to the article?)
- Not an advertisement
This entry is not an advertisement. All of the article content is informational and factual. There is no promotional material or encouragement to donate to the organization.
The content of this article is consistent with—and in some instances already provides higher quality information than—that of other education foundations on Wikipedia:
- Silicon Valley Education Foundation
- Brady Education Foundation
- Consumer Education Foundation
- California CPA Education Foundation
- Asia Education Foundation
- Rose Education Foundation
- Creative Education Foundation
