The result of the move request was: There is consensus to move, and San Felipe de Jesús, Sonora is the most supported location per precedent with other Mexican places — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:22, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
San Felipe de Jesús → San Felipe de Jesús (place name) – The title should be a redirect to Philip of Jesus. 2001:DA8:201:3512:11E1:8C25:D58B:2BF9 (talk) 18:35, 6 May 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. Dreamy Jazz 🎷 talk to me | my contributions 20:42, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
- Revert back to San Felipe de Jesús, Sonora. In ictu oculi (talk) 20:00, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. In English-language sources, the town is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for "San Felipe de Jesús". As such, the state name is not required - this isn't WP:USPLACE. Dohn joe (talk) 18:27, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
- Disregard; a village of 392 inhabitants is not going to be Primary of anything. And not per checking English-language book sources. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:02, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
- Move to San Felipe de Jesús (village) or San Felipe de Jesús (town) or San Felipe de Jesús (municipal seat), as the Spanish name of the patron saint of Mexico City seems at least as notable as this small village, and the village is the municipal seat of the San Felipe de Jesús Municipality (also in Sonora, of course), which has a similar population and almost the same name and also has an article. And there is also the much-larger San Felipe de Jesús market in Mexico City that has 30,000 vendors and stretches for 7 km. And, according to the article about the market, there is a neighborhood of Mexico City that has the same name. —BarrelProof (talk) 00:09, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
- @BarrelProof: why not Sonora, as it was before the undiscussed move, per Category:Populated places in Sonora In ictu oculi (talk) 07:48, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
- Because the municipality (which has a separate article) is also in Sonora, and the town has the same name as the municipality, so they appear to need disambiguation from each other. —BarrelProof (talk) 08:06, 14 May 2019 (UTC)

- Support San Felipe de Jesús, Sonora. It is standard practice per WP:MEXICO to use this form, not the (town)/(village) they use at US topics, see Gómez Palacio, Durango and Gómez Palacio Municipality. Although I have never comprehended why they are separated as one is within the other. © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 18:41, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
