External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on San Marcos Department. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.insightcrime.org/guatemala-organized-crime-news/juan-alberto-ortiz-lopez-juan-chamale?highlight=WyJqdWFuIiwiJ2p1YW4iLCJqdWFuJ3MiLCJjaGFtYWxlIiwiY2hhbWFsZSciLCJjaGFtYWxlJ3MiLCJqdWFuIGNoYW1hbGUiXQ==
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).

Questionable information in Geography Section
edit24 January 2021 06:27 UTC — Preceding unsigned comment added by Majell1n (talk • contribs) 06:27, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
"Other notable peaks include San Antonio Ichiguán at 4,022 metres (13,196 ft) above mean sea level."
The line above, contained in the Geography section, is disputed. I am familiar with this area of Guatemala and there are no other peaks above 4,000 meters other than the Tajumulco and Tacaná volcanoes. Furthermore, "San Antonio, Ixchiguán" is the name of an aldea (village) in the Ixchiguán municipio in San Marcos--certainly not the name of a peak/cerro/cumbre. There may be a "Cerro San Antonio" near San Antonio Sacatepéquez, likely an unofficial location and not well documented, and is only approximately 2,500 meters in any case. The line above references a book that I am unable to locate to verify. This sentence is likely factually incorrect/inaccurate, and will be removed if no additional citation or verification can be provided. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Majell1n (talk • contribs) 06:26, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
