repolto?

edit

What Spanish word is that? I wasn't able to find "fuego repolto" on Spanish-language sites. However History of the Holy Catholic Inquisition (1831) has it. Is this a 180 year old typo for "revolto"?--88.73.11.62 (talk) 13:43, 17 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Richard Harris Barham in his book The Ingoldsby Legends, in the Auto-da-fe section is completely backward than the description listed on this page. Although The Ingoldsby Legends is merely a humorous book, Barham was considered a great scholar on this subject. Somebody might want to check this out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MarcMoss77 (talkcontribs) 00:37, 15 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Looking up translations(there could be issues with usage) "repolto" doesnt return any English words and isnt recognized as Spanish or Portuguese. However, "revolto" comes back as Portuguese(Brazil) translating to "revolt". I tried similar meaning words and nothing close to "repolto" came up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xcerptshow (talkcontribs) 09:30, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
