Talk:Sanctuary of Fátima

Separate Articles

edit

I Suggest the Basilica should have a separate article from that of the Sanctuary proper, like that of Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes being separate from the articles for its basilicas Immaculate Conception Bascilia and Rosary Basilica. Rebel shadow 19:11, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Name

edit

Although Santuário de Fátima literally translates as Sanctuary of Fátima, Shrine of Fátima also would be an appropriate translation of the meaning. It is a Marian shrine. Group29 (talk) 23:58, 10 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

bells

edit

Hello first never knew that this Basilica have 62 carillon bells i tought just 8 bells cause you see 8 bells. and second the big bell is not 3000kg. there are more touristic books that says that the big bell weight 10 tons.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vO0Ko6s6BkY it's not the bell on the front i tought first it was but if i see another videos with the ringing bells you see the clapper comes first and when he swings back you hear the bell. so i think the big bell is behind on the other side of the basilica.

maybe the touristic books are wrong. but actually if i hear this bell too. he don't sound like a bell from 3000kg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4n94b2LlFs and here that movie where you can see it's not the front bell. but the front bell looks like 3000kg but behind the front bell i see 2 or 1 bigger bel. but in the close-up it looks like 2 bigger bells. 1 in the middle of the tower that rings and 1 on the other side of the tower.--46.129.76.187 (talk) 02:23, 3 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Potential Conflict of Interest / Timothy Schmalz statues

edit

@Jeanne Gravelle writes exclusively about sculptor Timothy Schmalz and seems to be doing a little bit of advertising for him. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 19:10, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
