This merge had been proposed on WP:PM a long while back and there was also a little bit of discussion on Sandra (singer). Everything on page made more sense, and as there were no objections, I went ahead with the merge.
Further formatting of the page is probably needed. Also, I'm pretty sure I integrated everything from the two articles, but someone please do take a look in case somethings missing.
- Massive section Albums needs trimming down
- Discography needs to fixed, according to the Manual of Style
- The External links section is huge and needs to be cleaned up
I'll get to these as I get time, in the meanwhile, happy editing - cheers!
Discography
editIn line with recommended Wiki guidelines, discography should be listed in this format
- "single"
- album
I'll be correcting the italics and formating soon. InternationalHit2 09:28, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Arabesque.jpg
editImage:Arabesque.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:45, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Maria Magdalena Confusion
editSorry, I know this is not a forum, but... Am I the only one that tought Laura Branigan was the singer for Maria Magdalena? I was wrong all this time? I've just checked Laura Branigan's albums here in Wikipedia and found I was wrong. ViccoLizcano (Not Logged In)
Requested move

The result of the proposal was Move Parsecboy (talk) 15:11, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
"Sandra (singer)" is more correct name for this article.
James Michael 1 (talk) 00:18, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm inclined to agree, but really you should say why, in terms of Wikipedia:Naming conventions. Andrewa (talk) 19:20, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
- Try WP:QUALIFIER: "...Try to limit [a disambiguator] to a single, recognisable and highly applicable word regarding the person at hand." There are no other singers named (only) "Sandra" so just "singer" is fine. So, support the move. — AjaxSmack 01:09, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Support per above. Sandra (singer) already redirects here anyway. Station1 (talk) 03:29, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Sandra doesn't have an official myspace page, and the management several times corrected that the singer is not in direct contact with the fans via any myspace site. Hence I question the liability of the sentence where it says that Sandra published something in her "myspace-blog". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.153.115.140 (talk) 16:52, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Nationality
editShe seems to be French, as she confirms in interwiew in German language. Her father is French, and in the sixties, there was another law situation in Germany as now, in the sixties, the children got the nationality of the father. --Holger1974 (talk) 16:33, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
Hasn't she got some Asian roots? It's seen in her appearance. In 1989 my mother watched some programme about Sandra and there they said she had some Filipino origin. GinaKisyaukova (talk) 06:38, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- No, she isn't French. Her father was just born there, but that's about it.13Sundin (talk) 08:23, 20 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi, my name is Fabrice and I'm french. I wanted to add precisions about Sandra's discography in France. For example, the song "Heaven Can Wait" reached the rank 6 in franch Top 50 and "Secret Land" the rank 28.
Thanks. F.D 14:12, 7 February 2007 (UTC)faboljac@yahoo.fr |
