"According to Christian beliefs"

edit

@Richardw: the reason I didn't include a phrase like "according to Christian beliefs" in the intro here is that pretty much all historians (including non-religious ones) agree that a Jewish preacher named Jesus existed and was crucified by the Roman authorities (see the intro at historical Jesus). So we can take as fact that there was a cross, even if we don't agree that it was holy. Does that make sense to you?—Neil P. Quinn (talk) 01:23, 17 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

It does, and I did think about that before adding it. The sources provided for the phrase 'the vast majority' in the historical Jesus-article state
[5]: as virtually every competent scholar of antiquity, Christian or non-Christian, agrees
[6]: Robert M. Price (an atheist who denies the existence of Jesus)
[7]: no serious scholar has ventured to postulate the non historicity of Jesus or at any rate very few
[8]: There are those who argue that Jesus is a figment of the Church’s imagination
Although these sources all agree on the fact that the non-believers are a minority, they also agree that there is such a minority. That being said, I don't think this disambiguation page will be any less usefull if that particular phrase is not present. Richard 06:41, 17 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Richardw: That makes sense; thanks for explaining your perspective. I would be okay with leaving it in, since I agree it doesn't make much difference, but since you've taken it out I will happily accept that :)—Neil P. Quinn (talk) 17:28, 17 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Tenerife, continent

edit

Tenerife is part of the African Tectonic Plate, but the article lists Santa Cruz de la Palma in Tenerife as part of Europe because... idek, I guess because white Spaniards colonised the Canaries and largely exterminated the indigenous peoples? I guess Australia and most of the Americas are part of Europe too 2A00:23C5:1203:CE01:5839:7178:EA6D:C6C6 (talk) 01:48, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

I admit that listing Tenerife under Europe is confusing, however I guess that including it in Africa would be even more confusing. --Jotamar (talk) 23:47, 28 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
