Copyrights?
editDoes Tetsuo Hara owns partial copyrights of the series? It seems odd that Capcom never had any of the characters introduced in this series cameoed in other games? I've seen characters from more obscure games than this referenced in games like Namco X Capcom and Card Fighters Clash. Not to mention they didn't even bother including the games in any of the compilations. Jonny2x4 (talk) 02:51, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- Remember that Strider is partially licensed from the character's designer, Moto Kikaku. If you play Marvel vs. Capcom for example, you'll see that Moto Kikaku's name is always in the credits at the beginning. I strongly suspect that you are correct and Capcom have been unable to keep the license to use Tetsuo Hara's character designs in further games although I don't have any evidence. I would have loved to have seen some of the Slam Master's characters in modern fighting games. El Fuerte should have been replaced by El Stinger/Stingray in my opinion. 95.148.8.39 (talk) 14:08, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
sf3 alex = alexei zalazov?
editappearances are rather similar, trademark move is the same (rapid-fire "bladed" punches), and, if classic american pro wrestling is to be believed, the majority of pro wrestlers w/a "foreigner" gimmick are usually american in real life. also, capcom has been known to include characters from other series in street fighters, so it's not a completely out-there suggestion. --173.103.148.70 (talk) 06:07, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Always thought the same thing, I mean just in general look at the two characters; they look just like each other. Add Alex's famous flash chop and there is no doubt. However, what I think is going on here is that Alex is just largely based on Aleksey/Biff. Look at Hugo; we all could not help but think he was an Andore, but Capcom simply stated that they based him off of the Andores but also that he has no relationship to them.
