• Oppose for the same reasons as others, many animals named "Scamper," also has a verb form and who knows what else. Much as this is a pretty neat horse, it's hardly the primary meaning of the word. Montanabw^(talk) 23:51, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Proposed Changes to Article

I don't know if anyone in this WikiProject is watching this article, but now is the time to speak up. I am proposing to make the following changes to this article:

1. Completely remove the copyrighted content that has persistently plagued this article for many revisions. Copyrighted text is currently seen in the lead and Career sections and can be found on the horse's owner's web site at this location: http://www.charmaynejames.com/news/90-horses/132-scamper

2. Due to removing the lead and Career sections for copyright, I will rewrite these sections with sources I have found through research. I might still use the source on James' web site, but it will be my words.

3. I will add a background section. I will add a cloned section and add more content to the cloned content that already exists. I will also moved the endorsement content there. I have found a couple sources for this. The endorsements and retirement section will become retirement and death section.

4. I will add an honors section. I have found some new sources that list out Scamper's considerably significant and long list of accomplishments.

5. I will add the article to the Rodeo Performers category. Nix that. It's in the Rodeo horses category now, which is a new category. Once there are more rodeo horse articles, we will break that category out into more specific types. Right now, there are only six rodeo horse articles.

6. I will talk more about his induction into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. He's the only barrel race horse to be inducted. Inductions for livestock are quite rare as a whole. Update! The ProRodeo Hall of Fame just announced the inductees for 2017. Another barrel racing horse is being inducted this year. So, Scamper will no longer be the only barrel racing horse inducted.
