The Search for Sources

edit

The search for more varied and, most importantly, accurate sources related to Scelotes poensis. For example, Elsevier's Dictionary of Reptiles. GyrateTau (talk) 15:41, 18 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

This page links to a variety of sources. https://www.gbif.org/species/2461545 GyrateTau (talk) 15:42, 18 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
If anybody is thinking of adding it, looking for Scelotes poensis in threatened species databases seems to be a deadend. GyrateTau (talk) 16:26, 18 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
IUCN, AWI, AZ Animals, CITES, Active Wild, National Geographic, and WWF have not shown any usable data. GyrateTau (talk) 16:44, 18 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
The discovery appears to have been first noted in "Herpétologie d'Angola et du Congo, 1895" (Herpetology of Angola and the Congo). This may be useful in finding more information, and could potentially contain sketches.
However, it seems unlikely that it will be easy to find. Arguably harder than to find Elsevier's dictionary, as it may not be in publication. GyrateTau (talk) 12:27, 13 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
