editI have seen that the website of The Danish Monarchy describe Schackenborg as a castle, but in fact Schackenborg is not a castle but a palace. Architectural there is differences between a castle (Danish: borg) and a palace (Danish: slot) or a manor (Danish: herregård or gods). Originally Schackenborg was a manor before it was transferred to Prince Joachim.193.162.48.219 (talk) 13:30, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Re: Castle or Palace
editIt has nothing to do with a buildings structure. A palace is a building owned by the sovereign and a castle is not. Since this building is owned by the sovereign then it is a palace and we should change it. (Ice Explorer (talk) 20:42, 20 December 2009 (UTC))
- Do you have dictionary references to support that distinction? –Henning Makholm (talk) 22:35, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
