I reworded, rewrote, edited, much of what existed, and added a great deal as well. I hope it helped.Dingno (talk) 21:12, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup

edit

I'm still a novice with wikipedia, so I'm not exactly sure how I go about marking a page for cleanup/professional attention in any fashion. I'm marking the article for cleanup and requesting expert attention.

What I think the article needs, imho: Refinement and a more informed history of Schiller would be nice. My written intro feels a bit wordy to me and perhaps not grasping the key points of a musician introduction; the whole intro essay is overpacked with not-irrelevant-but-misplaced information I feel. Can the guest musician information be given its own section/header? Citations also would be great for information on the Von Deylen-Von Schlieffen split as well as what Von Deylen said about not wanting to continue mixing english translations (I remember reading about these things, but- I'll admit it, I'm lazy. I've done a lot of work on this article).

Also, can the discography section be cleaned up? Perhaps a table? I'd like to see some information in there about the special edition releases if it's appropriate.

There should be information about the live performances/concerts; is it noteworthy to mention that they were the opening musical act for Depeche Mode in Athens a few years back? Their popularity+speedy rise in fame? What about Sarah Brightman's A Beautiful Day which was inspired by their rendition of Ein Schoener Tag, the idiosyncracies of Leben's many different editions (Sarah Brightman and Maya Saban both singing I've Seen it All for example; Sinead O'Connor's Troy...Phoenix From the Flame "schill"-out remix on the media market deluxe edition of Leben, etc)

I'll definitely do what I can, but the attention and help of a more experienced and knowledgable wikipediite would be greatly appreciated.Dingno (talk) 00:52, 5 March 2008 (UTC) (sorry, forgot to sign this post the other day)Reply

I collaborate for the first time in Wikipedia, and I am a huge fan of Schiller, and slowly I will add information about him and his music.I am in a possession of almost all of his released material, and know a lot about most of his guest singers.I am happy to know you through this unlimited encyclopedical source.(Yossipinkas,a new Wiki-member)

Clean up - Need more info

edit

I started cleaning up and arranging the article a little better but it needs more info, something about the biography. The discography seems pretty complete, more information is needed about the career though.Theo10011 (talk) 03:44, 2 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

DCD Foundation

edit

The person who's removing the sentence about the DCD Foundation is correct. The foundation appears to be a (bad) joke on von Deylen's part (though DCD is real), as is clear from this video that he created. His DCD website is likewise a farce, carrying the video on its home page. It doesn't come close to being well known even as a joke, as Google has practically no hits for it, so clearly von Deylen isn't well known for his role in this unknown fake organization. —Largo Plazo (talk) 00:40, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge of Symphonia (Schiller album) into Schiller (band)

edit

Album does not meet notability as a single article; best merged with the original band Whiteguru (talk) 23:15, 12 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Closing, with no merge, given the uncontested policy-based objection. Klbrain (talk) 14:38, 31 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
