Hello, I accidently found that there is a pseudoscorpion image in commons [1], which was made by Hans Henderickx. He said that his photo could be used in wikipedia if it's name is mentioned. Mayby it is possible to put at least on of the schizomida images from [2] which were made by him too or the use of them should be confirmed once more? --Vezhlys 22:18, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Classification Self-Contradiction

This article says that Schizomida and Uropygi together form Thelyphonida, but the Thelyphonida page says that Schizomida and Thelyphonida together form Uropygi. Which is accurate? Also, the Thelyphonida page says there are two definitions of Uropygi, one of which is synonymous with Thelyphonida, but no definition of Thelyphonida has it containing Schizomida. I believe these multiple definitions are the source of the confusion. Should this be clarified on this page? Or is the Thelyphonida page wrong? Thunderhawk256 (talk) 09:56, 5 March 2023 (UTC)

Some recent sources I've looked at, like this paper: doi:10.1111/jbi.13076, use the terminology that Schizomida and Uropygi together form Thelyphonida. What's odd about Thelyphonida#Taxonomy is at the very end of the last paragraph there's a reference to this very paper, but it's immediately followed by a cladogram that uses different terminology.

The online taxonomic databases seem confused and inconsistent. For example, Fossilworks here agrees in having Thelyphonida containing Schizomida and Uropygi, but all three are given the rank of order, which doesn't make sense. If you follow the links in the taxonbar at Thelyphonida, you mostly get to something some variant of Uropygi[da], but sometimes this seems to be sensu stricto and sometimes sensu lato.
