Leadership

Kevin Young is no longer the director, as of 1/21. https://www.si.edu/newsdesk/releases/smithsonian-names-kevin-young-director-national-museum-african-american-history

Had to move to ".... Schomburg Center...." or what's the correctly name ??? --84.137.147.81 13:52, 4 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Address of the Schomburg Center

edit

There's no need to provide a reference for the Schomburg Center's address in the infobox. A reference can be provided from any of a number of locations, starting with [1] and [2]. Also, I removed Harlem, Manhattan from the navbox- I am guessing that's redundant. 66.234.33.8 (talk) 23:12, 29 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Creation date

edit

None exists in the article. On May 17, 1901 in the New York Times City Will Accept Mr. Carnegie's Libraries [3], the article says there was a library in Harlem under the auspices of the "The Aguilar Free Library Society". No address given. But that was at 174 e 110 according to May 12, 1901 in the nyt Plans for the Great Free Library System [4] and the Bryson Library at 120th near Broadway and 5 w 125 ymca library (ibid). So it was built after 1901. 66.234.33.8 (talk) 21:56, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

According to Dodson

edit

What is this "according to dodson" stuff? This is a library and not some super-charged contentious political, social, etc., subject. It's just a library. 66.234.33.8 (talk) 23:16, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Have you

contacted the library its self with some of your thoughts, ideas, questions, concerns, etc? Carptrash (talk) 22:44, 13 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

they have a "chat with a librarian now" link, for example. Carptrash (talk)
I thought that would be original research. ?66.234.33.8 (talk) 10:32, 14 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
