First line
editThe first line that reads;
- "Scope is a UK-based charity, headquartered in London, UK operating in England and Wales, but not in Scotland or Northern Ireland"
doesn't make much sense. Surely it's a "London-based charity that operates in England and Wales"? The UK isn't the UK without Scotland and NI after all! --LookingYourBest (talk) 11:42, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, I've just noticed that the second half of that was added, which is why it doesn't make sense. I'll edit it now! --LookingYourBest (talk) 11:44, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Fundraising collapse in 1990s?
editI heard somewhere that the Spastics Society were one of the really big charities in Britain with phenomenal public awareness and a revenue stream to match. But that after the 1994 name change to the less meaningful 'Scope' their revenues never recovered. Can't find any source, does anyone know if it's true? If so it should be mentioned in the article. asnac (talk) 11:06, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
