Confusion over Scopello's location
editI stumbled upon this article using the "Random article" link. I only stayed because it looked like there were some syntax errors in the markup. I fixed them (mainly things like "[[Blah]") but noticed that the person who made them did so in the course of changing the location of Scopello. I checked Google Earth and there appear to be two placed called "Scopello" - one where the article originally stated, and one in Sicily where it was changed to. I only know enough about the areas (i.e. nothing) to make the page look right, someone more knowledgeable could do with having a look at the content. (Apologies if I've got templates wrong...) Major problem here!
editThere is a Scopello in the Italian Alps, in the province of Vercelli. Yet this article talks about a Scopello in Sicily ... and then, down the bottom, says that the article is talking about Vercelli! Someone had better disambiguate this. EverybodyLovesSomebody (talk) 19:05, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- ok. Thanks for spotting this and for doing most of the disambiguation yourself. The confusion goes back to this edit. The editor, unaware that there was a Scopello in the Alps decided that what we had was all nonsense and tried to turn it into an article about a frazione of Castellammare del Golfo in western Sicily. I’ll merge the original bot-generated stuff into Scopello (VC) and reduce this to a stub. —Ian Spackman (talk) 07:38, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
