This begins by claiming that "The Company was founded by William Younger I in 1749 in Edinburgh as William Younger's Brewery.[1]" However, the reference that [1] clicks through to says something totally different, namely

"Tradition has it that William Younger I, aged 16, set up a brewery in Kirkgate, Leith, Scotland, in 1749. In 1853 he married Grizel Syme and became an exciseman, leaving the brewery to be run by Grizel. However, this account is flawed and inaccurate and cannot be substantiated. Grizel actually ran her deceased second husband's brewery and it was this brewery and those of her sons that developed into the firm of William Younger & Co."

The article really needs to reflect what the source says. Zythophile (talk) 23:21, 5 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Point taken. Perhaps we should say..."The Company was founded by Grizel Syme who ran her deceased second husband's brewery: this brewery and those of her sons developed into the firm of William Younger & Co. Dormskirk (talk) 20:17, 6 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

OK, so can someone alter it, or do you want me to do it? Zythophile (talk) 11:36, 17 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Done. Dormskirk (talk) 14:30, 17 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
