References were disarranged as a result of changed URLs.

edit

References were disarranged as a result of changed URLs.

I had attempted to change the references under the Ogre Rendering Engine section; as the previous citations had incorrect referenced websites. To fix this, I had changed the reference to use a different URL then the current one it was using. However, doing that had inadvertently changed the URLs of all references using the same citation.

Can someone revert the changes I made to the references, so previous references using the same citation (as in the Ogre Rendering Engine section) will be accurate to the website URLs they previously referenced.

Also, the websites that the Ogre rendering engine should be referencing is:

(Ogre Rendering Engine): https://www.mcvuk.com/development-news/12-graphics-and-rendering-tools-to-make-your-game-shine/ (Bullet Plugin): https://code.google.com/archive/p/bullet Devblog 8 (Where the Ogre rendering engine is mentioned): https://www.scrapmechanic.com/news/devblog-8-is-here/ Jotrain G (talk) 01:32, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

This has been rectified as of the 23/03/2023. References, [1] and [2] now cite the correct URL as was in previous versions of this article prior to my edits on the 16th of February 2023.
Citations will know need to be recited for the Ogre Rendering Engine section in which I can carry out. Jotrain G (talk) 03:50, 23 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Development stalled

edit

I'm not going to undo the deletion of huge sections because one wiki user got upset about "tone" but this game has been stalled in development for 6-7 years. Other games, IE Half Life 3, Duke Nukem, etc, contain details about being in development hell, the problems with the developer, etc. Why not include that here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:19E:8080:98D0:880:524E:E7FA:A308 (talk) 22:23, 14 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Seems like there's an active effort to remove any mention that the game is stalled, in development hell, etc. Someone from Axolot trying to suppress it, maybe? There are tons of complaints online, whether on Steam, Youtube, Reddit, etc, talking about how there is little movement, if any at all, from Axolot. Here's some references:

The last meaningful update, was June 2022.

Or their twitter page: https://x.com/scrapmechanic?lang=en One post in May, 2024, the last was Dec, 2023. The post before? 2020. 3 posts over 4 years is NOT an active company.

An inactive social media account, YouTube videos and complaints by people online are not notable for inclusion. Please find a reliable source (see WP:VG/RS for a list of considered sources reliable) that say something similar. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 13:19, 4 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hold on. So, I say the developers are inactive, but you argue that their inactive social media account doesn't support the claim? Wow.
Again, how about you do something more useful than just "Delete" and do some research of your own. There's PLENTY of sources all stating the same. 2601:19E:8000:7250:E85A:D3AC:26A6:60C1 (talk) 13:42, 4 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Keep discussions in one place and don't resort to personal attacks. Go find a reliable source that backs up your claim or go do something else. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 13:55, 4 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
"or go do something else." Argumentum ergo decedo, classy.
My claim is that the community is complaining about the delay in game development. Even if the sources are not cite-able by your measure, the fact that it can be demonstrated that the sources exist, still validate the claim.
This is ratiocination, allow me to walk you through this simple process.
EG:
1. I state that there are negative reviews, focusing on the game's delay.
2. I post multiple sources, showing that there are, in fact, negative reviews focusing on the game's delay. Including, literally, on the storefront for the game itself. QED.
EG:
1. I state that the game has not had any updates since 2022.
2. The game data itself provides proof of when versions were released, validating the claim that no updates have happened in 2 years. Again, QED.
I understand that you are more interested in deleting edits and contributions (unless you're getting paid)...wait, just saw that Wiki has a term for you: WikiVampire. That sure explains a lot. I thought you were just being a troll.... 2601:19E:8000:7250:1A8:1DF1:564A:6BC9 (talk) 14:54, 18 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
WikiVampire: This page contains material that is kept because it is considered humorous. Such material is not meant to be taken seriously. You took a look at my userpage, noticed I was being honest about some paid editing from nearly seven years ago and made it sound you got me caught in a lie. Great investigative journalism. I'm not following this discussion anymore. You're clearly not interested in having a constructive discussion. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 16:24, 18 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
