Talk:Scrotal inflation

"Unusual"

edit

The article describes this practice as "unusual". Please note that this is not intended as some kind of moral or aesthetic judgment, but is simply descriptive: this is a relatively uncommon practice, even in the experience of emergency room doctors, who see just about every possible sex-related mishap on a regular basis. The word "unusual" comes directly from the cited medical papers. Perhaps "rare" might be a nicer way of putting it, but "unusual" is the word they both use. -- The Anome (talk) 21:19, 21 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Absolutely. Unless there's a whole army of millions of secret scrotum-inflators out there somewhere that we don't know about. -- The Anome (talk) 00:08, 3 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

How would you know ? Is this anything more than an assumption ? What is the evidence ? The papers refer to cases which require medical attention, so presumably the rarity refers to cases that go wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.96.58.212 (talk) 17:52, 19 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • If cited medical papers say its "unusual" that's fair for us to use. I personally believe that 99% of people who inflate their ball sacs die without receiving any medical attention. But without evidence, I will not cite that in the article.--Milowenthasspoken 19:29, 19 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
