"It is arguably the simplest of most plastic surgeries, when it's elective." It would be nice to find a non-regionally specific term for "elective" (voluntary? requested? not clinically necessary? — I'm not 100% sure what "elective" means), but my real problem is that I don't understand this sentence. The polar opposite of "elective surgery" is "emergency surgery." In this case, emergency surgery usually involves major trauma, such as from a car wreck. A planned surgery is almost always simpler and safer than the case that Father Physics sent to the emergency department . WhatamIdoing (talk) 16:37, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Reasons for scrotoplasty

Only sex-change applications and treatment of one specific disease are discussed. Scrotoplasty is also used in infant males to correct birth defects that would cause problems later in life. Our son had a condition where there was a possibility of connected tissues causing binding that could affect testicle growth or proper erectile capability.

The group's edit does improve the article. From reviewing the article history I can tell that the group put in a great deal of effort on elaborating the summary, adding reasons for getting a scrotoplasty, and enhancing the procedure section by adding what happens during pre-op, during op, and post-op. However the group should avoid using acronyms such as FMT without explaining that FMT is female to male transition. The group did a good job at linking advance topics to other existing wiki pages. The group did a good job at using lay language in parentheses to help the reader follow what is written. If possible attempt to add photos to help visualize the procedure ie before/after.

The group did achieve its overall goals for improvement as listed in their proposed edits.

Does the draft submission reflect a neutral point of view?

The draft submission does reflect a neutral point of view. The authors only provided facts about scrotoplasty and did not include information that would steer the readers towards being positive or negative about scrotoplasty.

Yes. As I was reading through the article, the cited material were all easily accessible. Some sources were only freely available through an institutional login. Sources referenced in this article are all verifiable primary and secondary sources.

Overall, this group’s edits substantially improved the article. Their introduction edits allowed for a structured and cohesive flow throughout the article. They also added relevant new content such as including specific procedures for the various reasons why someone would undergo scrotoplasty. The article is easy to read and understand. The sources they used are reliable sources.

Yes, the group has added a lot of different components to the article that substantially improves the information provided.

There could possibly be a bit more elaboration on gender identity and transgender health but it also currently has a neutral and informative tone, other than that it has covered a good amount of information.

3d. Do the edits reflect language that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion?

Yes, they use "trans men and intersex or non-binary people who were assigned female at birth" to help encompass the population that might be affected by this procedure and are inclusive.
