Neutrality of Article
editThe Arena Chapel is hailed as one of the greatest masterpieces of Western art. As such, it has garnered a lot of scholarly attention and incited much scholarly debate. It is obvious that one scholar (Giuliani Pisani) has written a large part of this wikipedia entry and inserted his views, which he presented as facts. (See for example the references to Pisani throughout the article, the list of references which include mostly his publications and the sparse mention of other scholars.) It should be noted that what Pisani claims has not been widely accepted by the scholarly community. In order for this article to be fair, neutral and balanced,it needs to present Pisani's argument as one hypothesis of the many, mention major scholarship on Giotto (such as the three books published on the topic in 2008!) as well as acknowledge that scholarly debate about the topic persists. Students may use this Wikipedia article as an introduction to the topic, so it is important that it presents a balanced picture so that readers are not led astray.
- This is when the bibliography was added in 2009; the text, also by ISP's, was mostly much later, in January 2016. Perhaps the same person. I agree it needs sorting. Thanks for the start you've made. Johnbod (talk) 05:01, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

Editing
editGood morning, I am a student of the University of Bergamo and for my assignment of Heritage Studies and ICT [1] I have added some lines saying that the Chapel has been declared part of a UNESCO World heritage site and why. I am available in case of any questions or doubts. MyaJourneyBoo (talk) 14:25, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
modern period - restoration
edit"In June 2001, following a preparation study lasting over 20 years, the Istituto Centrale ..started a full-scale restoration of Giotto's frescoes under the late Giuseppe Basile's technical direction. In 2000 the consolidation and restoration of the external surfaces had been completed and the adjacent "Corpo Tecnologico Attrezzato" (CTA) had been installed." The dates are contradictious Oursana (talk) 00:00, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
