Merge with Scuderia Toro Rosso?
editThe team was just rebranded, it's not even a change of ownership. Alpha Tauri themselves aknowledge that it is the same team and list Toro Rosso's accomplishments as their own (https://www.scuderiaalphatauri.com/en/our-history/)— Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.58.187.151 (talk) 09:09, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose - nobody (including the article) denies its the same team but they are a different constructor. Although AlphaTauri may consider Toro Rosso's achivement thier own, the FIA (governing body) does not. The FIA distrubute results to constructor's (different) not teams (the same).
SSSB (talk) 09:17, 9 September 2020 (UTC)- agree if so but would like a source on that 82.58.187.151 (talk) 09:48, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
The F1 official site recognizes the team history started in 1985 and its accomplishments (2 wins).[1]Skyspacex (talk) 01:00, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- But F1's official site is about the team whereas this article is about the constructor, they are not synomous in this context.
SSSB (talk) 09:51, 14 September 2020 (UTC) - Oppose. A broader discussion would need to be had within the wikiproject about what merits its own page so far as constructors/teams/entrants/entries is concerned before such a merger could be considered. Yes, the current situation is a mess; but that's a reflection of reliable sources documenting a messy history rather than a problem with how the information is specifically presented on Wikipedia. 2A02:C7F:DC08:9000:DDA:D67F:428F:41C7 (talk) 12:05, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
Is Sébastien Buemi still a one of the test drivers in AlphaTauri?
editWhen I visit this site: (https://www.scuderiaalphatauri.com/en/athlete/sebastien-buemi/), he's still a test and reserved driver in AlphaTauri. I noticed here in the article, he is not listed here. Please fix this one. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mitzikarl (talk • contribs) 14:02, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
Juri Vips
editToday, Red Bull Racing made a statement reading, "Following its investigation into an online incident involving Juri Vips, Oracle Red Bull Racing has terminated Juri's contract as its test & reserve driver. The team do not condone any form of racism." Now that Vips is clearly no longer a part of the team, would it not be proper to remove his listing as a test and reserve driver from this page? Thanks. - @Fivesecpenalty: AlphaTauri is an independent orginisation to Oracle Red Bull Racing, even if they both fall under the Red Bull GmbH family. We still need a source confirming this also applies to AlphaTauri (and you need to put the link here please) SSSB (talk) 16:55, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
