edit"This album was recorded in Amsterdam in November 2005 partially at my then home studio but mostly at 10 Catharina Can Renneslaan. It was engineered by Jon Debaun and myself and processed though the E-Clat Portable Morgue Disaster Unit with final overdubs done at Greg Ginn's warehouse in Long Beach. Robert Carranza mixed and prepared it for mastering, which was done by Pete Lyman at 5076 1/2 Alhambra Ave., Los Angeles. Longtime friend and collaborator Damon Locks created the artwork (everything but the photo on the back cover) and the ever-present Sonny Kay is once again responsible for the layout and design. I wrote these songs in reaction to working with maestros Guillermo Arriaga Jordan and Jorge Hernandez on their film and soundtrack album El Búfalo de la Noche. This album is for them."
crap
editLets wait around until some info surfaces about this album. We don't even know who its going to be credited too or who is on it. Omar? Quintet? Also I don't know if we should add in the next album becuase we don't know what the title is going to be exactly. Zopwx2 05:24, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- all of the info that was put on this page is from the record label website and the labels myspace bulletins http://www.goldstandardlabs.com/coming_soon.html
- Yah so I totally wrote that before those bulletins went out, so technically that's what I was waiting for. Zopwx2 01:38, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
should we add this as an unofficial tracklsit or wait?
1. The Lukewarm 2. Luxury of Infancy 3. Rapid Fire Tollbooth 4. Thermometer Drinking the Bussness of Turnstiles 5. Se Dice Bisonte, No Buffalo 6. If Gravity Lulls, I Can Hear the World Pant 7. Please Heat This Eventually 8. Lurking About In a Cold Sweat (Held Together by Venom) 9. Boiling Death Request a Body to Rest Its Head On 10. La Tirania De La Tradicion
- It seems like it's slowly coming true, but still RFT? PHTE? I would suggest waiting for official news. Zopwx2 01:43, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Tracklisting
editDoes the tracklisting on the back of the CD include the spanish accents for "Se Dice Bisonte, No Búfalo" and "La Tiranía de la Tradición", rather than the plain letters? If they're not present, the Wiki tracklisting should be cleaned up accordingly. Vanishdoom 07:01, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- The spanish accents are on the back of the LP sleeve. They're probably on the back of the CD case too. 141.158.42.247 05:56, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
Does omar not play on track 3, if not, who plays the guitar.
- Omar plays guitar on every track Zopwx2 02:18, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Does anyone know if "The Lukewarm" is a reference to Dante? (similar to 2+2=5, the Radiohead song from Hail to the Thief, also alternatively titled 'Lukewarm'. biggunnotmine 02:00, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
accent on 'bufalo'
editI have the vinyl edition of the album here at my house... it clearly says Bùfalo and not Búfalo on both the front and back of the cover. I can email someone a photo of it if they don't believe me.
- Ehm... the right word in Spanish is "Búfalo". It must be a print mistake or something like that, but it's Búfalo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.39.105.53 (talk) 13:34, August 27, 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, the right word is Búfalo. This article hurts my eyes every time I see it.--193.152.133.199 20:33, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
