editYour edit request could not be reviewed because in at least one instance it is unclear which reference is connected to which claim statement in the text of your proposal. When proposing edit requests, it is important to highlight in the text which specific sources are doing the referencing for each claim. The point of an inline citation is to allow the reviewer and readers to check that the material is sourced; that point is lost if the citation's note number is not clearly placed. Note the example below:
INCORRECT
The sun is pretty big. Sjöblad, Tristan. The Sun. Academic Press, 2018, p. 1.
The moon is not so big. Duvalier, Gabrielle. "Size of the Moon", Scientific American, 51(78):46.
The sun is also quite hot.[15]
In the example above there are two references provided along with a number 15 placed in brackets behind a third proposal. This is an approximation of how your edit request is structured. As you can see, while 2 of the requests are understandable, the third is not. The link between material and its source reference must be more clearly made, as shown in the next example below:
CORRECT
The sun is pretty big,[1] but the moon is not so big.[2] The sun is also quite hot.[3]
References
In the example above, the links between the provided references and their claim statements are perfectly clear, and we can see that number 15 was to a third reference which was not provided earlier. Kindly reformulate your edit request so that it aligns more with the second example above, and feel free to re-submit that edit request at your earliest convenience. edit- Ed Torino was added to the History section.
- The claim regarding the acquisition of Timeline was appended to the History section.
- The first paragraph of the Products section could not be updated. (See #5 below.)
- The new paragraph of the Products section could not be added because the text is not formatted correctly. The use of capitalization must conform to Wikipedia's Manual of Style even in cases where the company prefers that it be specialized.
- Additional changes made: Information in the Products section which was unreferenced was omitted. This includes the first sentence of the section (which was referenced) because it had been requested that this sentence be changed to read as "Previously, SeaChange offered...". This implies that the product is no longer being offered, and it was felt that having the only remaining product listed be one that was previously offered would be confusing for the reader. Please advise if this product is still being offered, in which case it would be appropriate to include it in this section.
