Non-RS content
editthis non-RS provides the post graduate information that I don't see other places yet: "...won many laurels during his nine years at Avondale Partners as a senior analyst in healthcare technology and other equities, has joined the faculty and coaching staff at Montgomery Bell Academy, where he'll teach mathematics and coach basketball. He was a stand-out Princeton roundball player -- at graduation in '92, he was Princeton's leading 3-point hitter with 235 treys (.469). Prior to joining Avondale in 2001, he was director and analyst with SunTrust Equitable and a decade ago (2000) he published the securities industries' first comprehensive research piece on Internet security. He several times won The Wall Street Journal's Best of the Street award, and was repeatedly highly ranked among software-sector analysts. Before SunTrust Equitable, Sean worked for Thornthwaite, the actuarial consultant. He earned his MBA at Kellogg, Northwestern; and, an engineering degree at Princeton..."-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 22:22, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
Another Non-RS
editthis source by Jon Solomon has elements that will not be included in this bio because Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard#Sean_Jackson_(basketball) confirms only Wikipedia:ABOUTSELF are eligible for main space. Some of the ABOUTSELF stuff rectifies the above discussion.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 16:18, 4 February 2024 (UTC)

- ... that before Sean Jackson won three Ivy League basketball championships, he won high school state championships in both baseball and basketball?

- This is a peculiar date request. I was initially going to request this run on the date that Princeton's postseason game is to occur. However, it is looking like Princeton will not appear in either the 2024 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament or 2024 National Invitation Tournament. As a result, I will tentatively request March 16 to coincide with the 2024 Ivy League men's basketball tournament. But I would like to reserve the right to reevaluate the prospect following the games of March 2nd to say whether I would like to change to betting on a later date.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:54, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
- I don't know how the tiebreaker works so I am not sure which team has the NIT backup, but I am betting on Princeton playing in either the NCAA or NIT. This date request will be for whichever date that turns out to be.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:01, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
- Technically the article is not quite "new enough", as the nomination was submitted 8 days after creation, but we'll allow it. Long enough (8645 characters). Article is well sourced and is written neutrally (although in several places it reads like a long list of stats). The facts in the hook are explained with citations in the article. @TonyTheTiger:Two issues which I would like to see resolved before passing this nomination: 1) Could you make it more explicit within the "High school career" section, where you are talking about basketball specifically versus baseball? (As visual cues to any readers fact-checking the hook.) 2) Could you complete one additional QPQ, in light of the current emergency backlog situation? Cielquiparle (talk) 05:28, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- Is that 8 days from the creation date or the move to main space date?-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 06:00, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry I didn't see that it was moved into mainspace one day later. (The DYK tool sometimes picks up the "move date" and sometimes doesn't, it seems.) For future it would be helpful if you could just add a note in the "Comment". Cielquiparle (talk) 07:39, 16 March 2024 (UTC)

- Thanks for fixing and for doing the additional QPQ. (Note to @TonyTheTiger: It is just nominators with 20+ past DYKs who are subject to the double QPQ requirement per this tool.) Good to go. Cielquiparle (talk) 11:31, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- User:Cielquiparle backlog mode is based on nomination date not review initiation date or approval date. Thus, I am taking a refund of my 2nd review.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 11:33, 16 March 2024 (UTC)

- @DYK admins: , I had hoped to time his DYK appearance with a 2023–24 Princeton Tigers men's basketball team postseason game. They have an automatic bid to the 2024 National Invitation Tournament. I am not sure they will accept the bid, but if they do, they will probably play on Tuesday or Wednesday. It will be at least another 24 hours before we know. Is there any chance to make that happen?-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 01:34, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
- @DYK admins: , Any chance that this could get in Prep4/queue4? It is not a huge deal since he is not on this year's team, but it would be nice.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 11:41, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- TonyTheTiger, since the DYK admins need this template to know when an urgent matter at DYK requires our attention (error on the Main Page, all queues are empty, shuffle needed to make the queues look right), I would recommend instead making a post at WT:DYK for matters like these, since any active DYK regular could take care of it until it gets to queue. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 18:19, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
