Merger proposal

I proposed merging the 2 separate articles on the tower and the administration building into this article about the complex, because i believe all the info can be handled in one article about the complex. It is not possible to get rid of the article about the complex, however, because the complex as a whole is designated a NRHP and NHL. So i want to discuss the tower and the admin building in the complex article. It may be the case that the two are separately listed Chicago Landmarks. If so, each can have a separate section. Comments? doncram (talk) 18:09, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Support merging Admin building here. Is there a chance that if the NHL is removed from the complex the tower will retain the designation? I guess since we should not WP:CRYSTALball, I support moving that too.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 16:58, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Support. Three separate articles are not necessary in this instance. BTW, the Admin Bldg article is written as if the structure, protected by historic landmark status, is no longer extant. True? Wikiuser100 (talk) 19:25, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
- Support and agree that the tower and admin building should have their own sections, but within a unified article. Kevin Forsyth (talk) 15:12, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: article moved per WP:SILENCE. Armbrust The Homunculus 10:55, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
Sears, Roebuck, and Company Complex → Sears, Roebuck and Company Complex – Revert the insertion of the Oxford comma, which, in the six years since it was moved the other way, has not been inserted in references in the article, except for an external link where the destination no longer refers to this name at all. Also it corresponds to Sears, Roebuck and Company which redirects to Sears (and Sears, Roebuck, and Company has no links). (The without-comma redirect almost has more pages linking to it than directly already, but I've just moved one that way because I changed a red link and let the search and replace change another link too.) --Relisted. - Note: The user who originally moved to the comma version, User:Doncram, doesn't mind it being undone. Mark Hurd (talk) 01:06, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
