Supreme Court ruling?

edit

I can't believe that there is nothing in here about the landmark US Supreme Court ruling or the SPS policy that provoked it. September 2007

edit

I just removed the internal links that several schools had in the list that were pointing to non existent pages, the schools are still listed but without the links. DMcMPO11AAUK 01:42, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Controversy"

edit

It seems to me that the "Controversy" section is extremely one-sided. The nature of a controversy is that there are two sides to it. - Jmabel | Talk 04:14, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Former schools

edit

We are missing a lot of them. I've added a few, mostly ones that were in the picture I added, but there are many more. - Jmabel | Talk 07:33, 18 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've now probably covered more than half of them, but we are still far from complete. - Jmabel | Talk 08:11, 10 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
About 25 that I'm aware of left to go. I've been adding a lot more information about these than we have on current schools. Eventually, we'll probably want to add comparable info on current schools. I'm wondering if we should plan on splitting up this page, because it's getting big and will get bigger. Also, if anyone has ideas for a more uniform treatment of schools, and of which schools deserve individual articles, I'd be glad to discuss. - Jmabel | Talk 08:02, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've now added those former schools of which I am aware. Previous comments still apply. - Jmabel | Talk 06:03, 20 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm planning on creating a page for Broadway High School. Currently it is directed to Seattle Central Community College on other pages. Does anybody object to me creating this page? (Chilcokr (talk) 21:39, 11 October 2012 (UTC))Reply

Frank B. Cooper

edit

Frank B. Cooper deserves an article of his own. The book by Richard C. Berner that I cited to mention him has quite a bit of useful, relevant material. - Jmabel | Talk 02:06, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

@Jmabel: Well, it only took ten years! But I just created the Frank B. Cooper article. I hadn't actually come across the book you reference. I'll look it up and see if there is additional information missing from the article. Would appreciate your thoughts on or any improvements to the article. Merge tag

edit

Please note that Wikipedia does not do detailed spinout tables of the demographic breakdown of individual school districts. It's acceptable information in the school district's article (though still dry, uninteresting and not particularly relevant to an encyclopedia), but does not warrant its own independent article. Bearcat (talk) 08:09, 13 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Since this was tagged for a month with no objections on either talk page, I completed the merge. The tables are frankly excessive and should probably be cut (maybe just the overall table without the breakouts by grade), but I leave that as a task for another time. --RL0919 (talk) 04:56, 17 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

History of superintendents?

edit

This page should be augmented with a list of current and past superintendents.
