editI like this page. I think the headings flow well together and you cover a variety of topics here, well done. It could use more images to back up what yall are talking about. Sallyllama (talk) 00:12, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
Hey all, great job overall. I took a look at the original article and there is definitely already significant additions in your version. Here are some of my notes:
Are there environmental implications to growing seaweed? How much energy does it take/ waste does it produce etc is it a net carbon source or sink?
While the information under the “Ecosystem Services” section is interesting, it doesn’t focuses necessarily on the services of seaweed fertilizer as much as it does on seaweed itself. Given that you’re discussing specifically seaweed fertilizer in this article I would encourage you to narrow the information down to be at least mostly about seaweed in fertilizer form rather than seaweed in general. Right now it seems like that section is mostly focused on other forms of seaweed (I.e seaweed biofuels, and seaweed toxin removals)
Regarding the Nutrient Cycling section: i would work to tie in the relevance of this to seaweed aquaculture earlier in the section. It is mentioned in the very last paragraph of this section; I would maybe move that paragraph to the beginning of the section instead to better tie in what nutrient cycling has to do with not only seaweed but seaweed fertilizer. Also would be helpful to make it clear whether seaweed aquaculture affects environmental nutrient cycling (for example, if the seaweed is being grown in a system that connects to the sea, is there an environmental nutrient cycling roll being played by aquaculturally raised seaweed on nearby ocean habitats)
There is an entire section for the benefits of using seaweed fertilizer but not one for drawbacks. This makes it seem a bit biased. You briefly mentioned bioaccumulation of heavy metals but I would expand on the drawbacks if thats possible. Help clarify the picture as to why this isn't more widely used as opposed to chemical fertilizers.
I hope this is helpful! Keep up the good work! -Andrea Nodal Anoda022 (talk) 02:41, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
