Seawind is known for their extraordinary musicianship, brilliant songwriting and creative arranging. The group pioneered many of the musical elements that, years later, ultimately became the beginnings of smooth jazz. Seawind
editWhen I saw Seawind the first time, they were at a music festival in Diamond Head (Leahi) Crater (July 1975) and they were calling themselves Ox. Then they opened for a Minnie Ripperton / Three Dog Night concert (yes, they toured together, but performed separately) at the HIC (honolulu international center, now Blaisdell Center) and I believe they were still calling themselves Ox.
