episode status
editI forget the guy's name, but I was on IRC with someone from the Bay Area who had some inside knowledge, who says that the tapes of at least some of the episodes might still exist and would be found as soon as someone (at GSN, we would assume) screens the rest of the Family Feud tapes (both shows aired on ABC at about the same time so this is plausible). This is, for now, just as much of a rumor as that they've been erased, but maybe someone can investigate. --Shawn K. Quinn 09:15, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Rumor: Second Chance Aired On GSN
editOne YouTube poster claimed in a text comment for the first portion of the uploaded Pilot #3 that they saw an episode (which may or may not be the same one) on GSN at one point. Verbatim, as much as I detest bad spelling and punctuation...
"I can swear I saw this on GSN one time and one time only. (AND NO I am not mistakeing it for Press Your Luck. or whammy." ... "I don't remember but the set and spin displays look familer to someing I saw if they did show it I was very young when they did. I wish I could have recorded it."
One response to this suggested that it might have been a "Game Of The Week" special; this has precedent - the only full surviving episodes of Eye Guess and Number Please, as well as the original Jeopardy!'s 2000th episode, aired in this manner...so why not Second Chance?
If anybody could confirm one way or the other, that would be most appreciated. Daniel Benfield (talk) 20:51, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- I dont know about it having aired even one episode on GSN, but I (or anybody else if they can) will look into it. Whammies Were Here 21:57, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
