"How to" open a security tape

edit

A recent edit to the Construction section had a reference [1] to a method of access to one type of security label. This is questionable on several fronts. The teflon wedge is an example of a "specialized tool" listed in the previous section. If there is to be a listing of how to have access to security products, it might be in that section. The citation and its NSFW video, however, would probably not meet Wikiedia's requirements for Reliable Sources. Most important is the question of whether the article should list the many methods of foiling security products. From an ethical standpoint, do we want to make this a less secure society? Should we teach people how to break into computers, packages, etc? Please discuss. Pkgx (talk) 12:55, 23 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Wikipedia should not be a listing of "how to" do things: Wikipedia:NOTHOWTO. If we started to list how to foil the many types of security tapes and labels, we would get diverted from the purpose of the article. The article now says "Most security products can be foiled by a knowledgeable person with sufficient time and with access to specialized tools, solvents, extreme temperatures, other security tapes and labels, adhesives, etc." I think that is enough.
