editJust edited that part because the AND operation makes it seem as though they are engaging in separate pursuits, when in reality the two operands are combinatorial. The AND operator is combinatorial, obviously, but in the previous context it seemed to give off a disjunctive vibe, especially with the included comma.
In other words, it sounded as though you were saying "They explore stuff, and they also look for treasure," when in fact you meant "They explore stuff in order to find treasure."
