Although the magnificent dictionary of Albanian Historical biography by Robert Elsie cautiously advances 1901 as Maleshova's approximative date of birth, the Albanian-language Wikipedia article, the Albanian-language cultural forum "Forumi Shqiptar," and most published Albanian language references in the past give March 2, 1900 as Maleshova's date of birth. The date is notably mentioned in the "Memoires of Nexhmi Ballkes (Në Kujimet e Nexhmi Ballkes.) For some reason, the Polish language version of this Wikipedia article has elected "March 2, 1901" as the poet's date of birth.
