Disambiguate

Someone might need to disambiguate this page. It recently came to my attention that "booter" and "shoer" are words used by Western Canadians to describe stepping in a puddle, which the rest of us tend to call a "soaker". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.103.96.11 (talk • contribs)

I completely understand that's not what this page is about. I was simply pointing out that at some point in the future there is going to be some confusion (if there isn't already) between the various articles titled "booter". (and yes I know the Western Canada definition of "booter" doesn't exist on wikipedia YET). For clarity I brought this point up because:

Aside from the fact that I find it highly likely you are just making things up, given I live in Western Canada, and have never heard the term booter used in such a way, you also have a problem here in that Wikipedia is not a dictionary, nor is it a collection of slang. Also, this article does not require disambiguation as it is about a specific PC term, and is clearly titled as such. The disambig page would be Booter (disambiguation), but it simply is not necessary. Resolute ^{Lest We Forget} 15:48, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm really NOT making it up. I'll attempt to dig up an online source which would corroborate what I've been told by friends and relatives. Yes I understand wikipedia is not a dictionary or urban (slang) dictionary. My concern WAS the redirect not the article. I was simply trying to make a suggestion to avoid a potential future problem. Since no one cares I'll let it drop.

The sites were referenced simply to provide examples of the word's usage, any political view expressed or implied by said sites is irrelevant to the point being made in this discussion entry. 206.47.249.251 (talk)
