Just happened across a web archive of photos pertaining to the japanese workers in Selleck pre-WWII.
There is even an image of a hand drawn map of the Japanese community...alas, no mention of "Lavender Town", but, from review of the images we could say it would have been on a field {ie: lavender} BELOW the main camp by the train tracks...appears may be in the woods these days.?..
