editWhat is Elte's "wider definition" of semiregularity? Is it related to the hyperbolics mentioned? — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 22:55, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
Lack of a definition
editThe first sentence of this article appears to define its subject:
"In geometry, by Thorold Gosset's definition a semiregular polytope is usually taken to be a polytope that is vertex-uniform and has all its facets being regular polytopes."
Unfortunately, the Wikipedia article linked to the term "vertex-uniform" does not contain the term "vertex-uniform".
As a result: The subject of this article is nowhere defined.
This causes the article to be what I call a "train wreck". Nobody who doesn't already know what it's about can learn what it's about by reading the article (unless they make lucky guesses).
This is caused, all too often, by a writer's linking to a Wikipedia article without bothering to check whether the linked article actually contains the information that is needed to understand what the writer is writing. 50.205.142.50 (talk) 17:52, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
