Hrm. Isn't "The Story of a Real Man" also something of an opera on a Soviet subject (I may be mistaken there!)
(While I like best The Fiery Angel of the operatic music of his that I know, his operatic music in general is mostly undiscovered territory for me- since I have some listening to do at the library in the near future, this is a strong -hint-.
