WikiprojectNovel template

edit

I just updated this article using the wikiproject:novel template for books. However, there are several sections that I've "hidden" using comment tags because I haven't had time to enter any new text. These include "Major Themes," "Literary Reception," "Plot Summary," "Explanation of title." I will try to get to these as I finish this work. Meanwhile, anyone else feel free to get into the article and add them! Portia1780 (talk) 03:21, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Henry James and reception

edit

Does Henry James's reaction to the book jibe with the wider literary world's, or is it that no one could find another review? The reception section seems too harsh with only the James quotation in it.--89.131.185.247 (talk) 18:15, 9 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Not just that; it contradicts the opening paragraph. – (empoor) 15:48, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
I agree that the section needs to be expanded and balanced. Please feel free to add. As far as the opening paragraph goes, it's impossible to verify as the sources are in French. Actually this is a policy violation as per: WP:NONENG. I think I'll tag it. ~ Alcmaeonid (talk) 19:17, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yes, the coverage of contemporary reviews ought to be expanded. James’ review is not typical of the contemporary reception of the novel. Endymion.12 (talk) 15:16, 14 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
