3 tracks?
editIn fact, the line does NOT have 3 tracks! It is a double track railway with passing loops at some stations to allow operation of express trains (3 pairs per hour). Thus it may be considered patterned on Japanese urban railways rather than on New York subway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.51.208.194 (talk) 14:43, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- Correct. I rode on it last week, and it in fact has two tracks, with occasional stations having four tracks (for express trains to pass by all-station trains). I know that's "original research"--but that's the fact of it, no matter what any source someone read might have said. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Leonster (talk • contribs) 16:11, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
- That the line has three tracks one can read even in the learned "Railway Gazette International". A diabolic mistake indeed! But also an effective incentive for railway fans to go and visit Seoul. So then, who would dare to correct the main article? 83.10.222.35 (talk) 23:27, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Line color
editWhat color is this line most likely going to be?? Georgia guy 19:17, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
- I was thinking white or silver/gray, as pretty much everything else is in use or would be too similar to the existing colors on some of the maps (eg red/orange). --JackSeoul 03:54, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
station names
editMany of these stations listed are already operating with other lines chief among them Gangnam sation and Jamsil, etc. But also Mok-Dong and other lesser visted stops. There are two options here. Either these are working titles for stops that will be built at another corner of the same dong and therefore not connect, or they are connecting to the existing stations. If they are connecting to the existing stations, then I suggest that we write down their transfers and link the stations. DaronDierkes (talk) 06:45, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Possible vandalism?
editSome anonymous editor has written that Line 9 has already opened (which it clearly has not), and made a few other edits to include some nongrammatical and/or ambiguous phrasing. I'd like to say that they should provide a source saying that Line 9 actually did open on May 30th, but if you actually go to one of the stations it's extremely obvious that it hasn't opened yet (but then, I guess going to the station myself to verify that it hasn't opened would be original research). Brett (talk) 07:58, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
- I addressed the above situation in my recent edit. I also forgot to mention that I removed two dead links. Brett (talk) 13:05, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
- There was a Korea Times article from 2(?) weeks ago which says that this line was supposed to open at the end of May- what happened & why the delay?? 66.27.215.103 (talk) 19:05, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I originally heard that it would be opened on May 29th. Apparently there have been a few setbacks but as far as I know they've been entirely silent on exactly what kind of problems there were. I'm hearing now that it will be opened next Friday, but that's only by word of mouth. Brett (talk) 10:58, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- Edit: apparently there were some problems with signaling devices...that's still not too specific though. Brett (talk) 11:04, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- I heard that Line 9 will open june 12, 2009. the delay had to do with the signaling for the express rails. there was also talk of a rate increase, but for political reasons, that is being held off till after the seoul mayoral elections. 220.76.15.122 (talk) 17:49, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, it's now June 12 in Korea and Line 9 has still not opened. Brett (talk) 00:57, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Now I'm hearing that they're having additional problems. The current estimated opening date has been pushed all the way to late July 2009 (and possibly later).121.88.110.38 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 13:22, 14 June 2009 (UTC).
Stations' romanization
editthere are some incorrect romanizations 마곡나루 should be Magongnaru, not Magoknaru — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dokdokorea29 (talk • contribs) 07:30, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
