Name
editWith all respect, article name should be Sergei Gurenko. He has been never and by nobody called Siarhej Hurenka ("Па Вашым запыце - Siarhiej Hurenka - ня знойдзена ніводнага дакумэнта" (c) Google), while he is always referred as "Sergei Gurenko", in his italian times, now in Lokomotiv international games, and in Belarusian national team.
So I revert name changes. --Monkbel 12:20, 28 August 2005 (UTC)
Somehow they spell the first name as Siarhei not Siarhiej (as it should've been in proper Lacinka). The Belarusian version of his last name is used. I'm surprised you did not notice that.
- 25 pages with "Hurenka" on Google
- That's what was written on his shirt in Spanish or Italian league (I forgot which one, because I don't watch that much sports on TV, but I saw him in a jersey with "Hurenka" written on it)
- A couple days ago I watched some Lokomotiv game on Eurosport, and on the rooster they spelled his name as Hurenka.
- Finally, I'm pretty sure that's what it says in his passport.

- it is really interesting... especially jersey and eurosport arguments. If there could be any screenshot :). I support including of both names, with more well-known being the base one. --Monkbel 21:22, 29 August 2005 (UTC)
- and, you didn't answer my contact query :(. --Monkbel 21:22, 29 August 2005 (UTC)
- I added 'Syarhey Hurenka' which is now a very popular form of his name. Not sure if I wanna go through with renaming him though. Ivario (talk) 21:29, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
