The section starts off with paragraphs then breaks into one line sentences and then goes back to paragraphs. Squids'and'Chips 22:08, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

GAY?

edit

I heard he is gay and came out of the closet, but it was on a french blog so I'm not sure if it's true. Does anyone know? I would look it up but I can't read Russian and he's not mentioned enough outside of Russian for me to find anything. QuirkyAndSuch 08:34, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well, he probably is gay but it firmly in the closet, so no, what you read was not true. 80.42.222.160 14:46, 6 August 2007 (UTC) He is Putinskij Gandon! ≤ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.91.183.231 (talk) 03:07, 20 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Dances On The Ice

edit

In this section on the Dancing On Ice Worldwide wikipedia page it stateds it is called Dancing with the stars for the russian version however on Sergey's official biography website page it says Dances On The Ice.

I feel it would be a shame to scrap this section if anyone wants to, however I am not russian, I am British so cannot improve on this section and give it the justice I feel it deserves. If there are any Sergey fans out there that could help out, it would be appreciated.

The ifo is on sergeys official website, biography section, page 15. As it is done in Flash it cannot be easily referenced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chulcoop (talkcontribs) 16:21, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi, the problem was that there were two skating shows running at the same time on different channels. One was "Dancing with the Stars" (Tantsy so zvyozdami" on Channel 1, the other was the official Russian version of the BBC show, and was called Dances on Ice (Tantsy na l'du) [This can also be translated as "Dancing on Ice"]. Sergey Lazarev was on the latter, "Dancing on Ice", which was on the Russia Channel. 82.4.179.207 (talk) 15:31, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Splitting proposal

edit

I propose that sections Discography be split into a separate page called Sergey Lazarev discography. The content of the current page seems large enough to make their own page. Veselov350💬 15:46, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose - the over-riding principal here is WP:SPLIT, as per it does not qualify for a size split (being only 29 kB of info - the minimum for splitting is about 40 kB). And it obviously doesn't qualify as a content split, since it is part of the artist's history. Onel5969 TT me 16:22, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
How it "obviously" doesn't qualify for a content split? There are tons of discography pages like Dua Lipa discography, Big Country discography, Valery Leontiev discography and even Polina Gagarina discography (even though some of these artists' discographies/pages are shorter than Lazarev's). Aren't these discographies part of each artist's history as well? I can't see any reason for not creating a separate page for Sergey Lazarev's discography. --Veselov350💬 16:44, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Veselov350, those are not content splits. And just because WP:OSE, doesn't justify creating another unnecessary article. In most cases, discographies/filmographies are better served no the performer's article, so that folks looking into that artist don't have switch around. Some of those pages are clearly splits, onel5969. Just like this one. WP:OSE may not justify creating another "unnecessary article", but the discography sub-heading which has too many albums and singles makes this article unnecessarily long. For that reason, I suggested that in the discography sub-heading, only the album titles and "main article" template should be kept and a separate page should be created by splitting, for the whole discography with all the information (which is long and notable enough). --Veselov350💬 17:41, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Veselov350, your opinion of the length is irrelevant, the actual length, as shown above, is not too long as per the guideline. Onel5969 TT me 17:57, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Got it. I think it's better for the page to remain as a redirect for now, then. --Veselov350💬 18:39, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
