Caplan

edit

this is sergio canavero. arthur caplan is a politically biased ethicist who for reasons of his own hates me.

i would like for whoever supervises this page to stop altering my changes which are all referenced and so in line with wikipedia's guidelines.

the chicagotribune never contacted me for a rebuttal.

pop culture / metal gear solid

edit

Would the whole Canavero / Metal Gear Solid "scandal" be worth noting? When the first trailers for the video game Metal Gear Solid V were released, people noted one character featured prominently in said trailers was a surgeon strongly resembling Sergio Canavero, who was subsequently thought to merely pull PR stunts for Kojima (and reacted rather irritated, to the point of threatening legal action against Konami/Kojima and signing an affidavit assuring he had never heard of the game before)... a "In pop culture" section, mayhaps?

I would also like to note that the doctor went awfully quiet for someone that incredible for close to 5 years now without any updates. However, what's important to note, is that the client, Valery Spiridonov, is real, so if the whole operation thing was some kind of a PR stunt, it was an incredibly cruel and inhumane stunt. However, if they added the surgeon to the game to look like actual surgeon, then it's now more of an easter egg. KoZaK (talk) 07:52, 14 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
I retract my previous statement: according to ResearchGate he's been cited as an author, publishing related articles, as late as June 2021, so it looks more like a Kojima stunt than anything else. KoZaK (talk) 14:57, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
