What Title Means
editI think the title will probably be "Before First Encounter" just you wait and see if i'm right 77.103.117.199 (talk) 20:27, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
I'm guessing "Bum F*ck, Egypt" as in "middle of nowhere". _josh (talk) 18:36, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- It probably stands for "Before First Encounter", but since no one from Croteam has said one way or another, I've edited the article appropriately to say that it LIKELY stands for that but no confirmation has been given. Polantaris (talk) 17:35, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
- Serious Sam has always been a throwback to classic Doom, and the BFG is a well-known acronym. Like Doom, they're avoiding saying what BFE stands for. E obviously stands for Encounter (Sam 1 was served in two parts - First Encounter and Second Encounter). Logically, this is the Big Fucking Encounter. Pxtl (talk) 19:12, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
advertisement-like text
editI've boldly removed the following material from the article:
“ | Trademark features such as relentless hordes of spectacular enemies and expansive outdoor battlefields return in Serious Sam 3: BFE at full force. Features list includes:
• Frantic Arcade-Style Action – The calling card of the Serious Sam series, hold down the trigger and lay waste to a never-ending onslaught of attackers or face being overrun by Mental’s savage beasts. No cover systems, no camping – it’s just you and them. All of them. • Mental’s Fearsome Legions – A new battalion of unforgettable minions including the rumbling Scrapjack and towering Khnum join the legendary Headless Kamikaze, Gnaar and Sirian Werebull. Your days of mowing down zombie Nazi space pirates are over. • Serious Melee Attacks – When an enemy slips by your wall of lead and pain, use one of the all-new innovative melee moves to drop an enemy right where they stand in the most violent way possible. • Pure Multiplayer Mayhem – Play through the full campaign mode with up to 16 players or drop the gauntlet and let the heavy ordinance fly in versus modes like Deathmatch and Beast Hunt. This is the next level of Serious Sam multiplayer and all hell is about to break loose. |

In this form, it isn't doing the article any favors. I have no strong opinion either way wrt reinstating it in de-advertised form. --213.196.216.227 (talk) 15:00, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
I think that mentioning specific elements that make this different from regular [modern day] FPS games would be appropriate. Specifically the manner in which you face hordes of mobs/npcs/demons/creeps. I think that would be quite possible to add to the article, although whether it would contribute to it or not is another matter. That kind of information should be readily available in the other serious sam articles.Mrpops2ko (talk) 19:39, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
The game has been released!
editI changed the article's contents to the new context, since it has already been released (on Steam, it says it will be released 4 hours from now, so I changed it right now, so you guys don't have to wait). Changed all the tense from future to present, no other content has been changed. Boky (talk) 14:33, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
- Is there any actual gameplay or is it just fake teasers on YewTewb? Gravitoweak (talk) 22:51, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
- Only any actual gameplay and not fake testers on YewTewb. Miros 0571 (talk) 9:26, 3 December 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.121.210.102 (talk)
